主要研究领域为药物经济学与健康经济学、医疗保险、真实世界证据等。以独立、第一或通讯作者在Health Economics、China Economic Review、Value in Health、PharmacoEconomics、Annals of Internal Medicine、Social Science & Medicine等英文期刊发表论文五十余篇。

担任Health Economics Review（经济学SSCI Q1）及Cost Effectiveness & Resource Allocation（卫生政策SSCI Q1）副主编、PharmacoEconomics编委，并兼任中国药学会药物经济学专委会委员、粤港澳大湾区国际临床试验中心卫生经济学专家、广东省药学会药物经济学与卫生技术评估专委会副主委、国家医保局长期护理险专家库成员等学术职务。

曾获国际药物经济学与结果研究学会(ISPOR)《Value in Health》2025年度论文奖。

该奖项为卫生经济学领域重要的国际奖项之一，每年颁发给一位获奖者，用以表彰对卫生经济学理论、方法和实践做出重要贡献的科学研究。蒋亚文副教授为该奖项迄今16年获奖的唯一华人和欧美以外学者。
